MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) uses magnetic fields and radio waves to create pictures of your organs, muscles and other structures inside your body.  We use Phillips and Siemens MRI scanners, the industry leaders in "short bore" technology.  Our equipment is designed to give you the feeling of an "open" scanner while providing high field strength images.  Because MRI uses a powerful magnet, you will need to tell the technologist if you have any metal pins, plates, or fragments inside your body.  Also inform them if you have an IUD, artificial limbs, dentures, etc.  If you have a pacemaker you CANNOT have an MRI.
